What is the process of glass processing

Feb 05, 2020

Each product has its own fixed process when it is processed. This cannot be changed, because before using the current method, the equipment and work have a certain order. These are the best processing methods. If we go wrong one step, it is likely to cause quality problems. Glass processing is also similar, so let's take a look at a process of glass processing.

1. Selection of original film: Of course, glass original film is necessary for glass processing. Ordinary glass processing plants do not produce original film. Only large glass companies produce original films, such as Xinyi Glass, CSG, etc. Only big companies make it. The thickness of the original glass is also different. If it is used to produce display glass, the thickness is generally between 1mm, 2mm, and 3mm. Because digital products have higher requirements for light transmission, ultra-white glass will be selected.

2, glass size cutting: the size of the original film itself is very large, generally more than three meters long, more than two meters wide. Cutting can be said to be the first step of glass processing, and the staff will calculate how to cut the original piece according to the size on the customer's drawing. The algorithm must take into account the size consumed by the rear glass edge. So there is also the term tolerance.

3. Glass chamfering and chamfering: The freshly cut glass will be shaved, the glass will be sharp, and the customer will also ask for the edging. Grinding the frosted edge is sufficient, which can also reduce the cost. The polished edge is required by customers who have higher aesthetics of the glass. After the edging, there is a chamfer. There is also a chamfering machine for chamfering. The chamfering machine can accurately find the desired R angle.

4. Tempering: There are physical tempering and chemical tempering. We talk about physical tempering here. Physical tempering is to heat the glass in a tempering furnace to a certain degree and then cool it. The hardness of the glass is increased after tempering. Customers demand glass tempering to be safe. Tempered glass is also called safety glass.

5, silk screen: Some glass will go through this step, because the customer wants to print certain patterns, company logos, etc. on the glass. The silk screen also has high temperature silk thread and low temperature silk screen. The high temperature silk screen will be performed before the tempering step. The screen printing room should be relatively clean. In this way, the ink is free from impurities. The silkscreen effect will be better.

6, cleaning and testing packaging: the back glass must pass the inspection of the inspector before passing the level. The glass in question will be selected, some will be invalid, and some will be under-processed. Good glass is pasted by a laminator and then packed in kraft paper.
